Drop In PVC Ceiling Tiles Installation

Double up on the savings- both labor and materials

Installation instructions for your Decor Ceilings brand ceiling tiles onto a T-Bar ceiling

  • To put in your tiles onto the existing T-bar system, you first need to make the "false" framework for your ceiling structure on that T-bar system using materials such as MDF, Plywood, Block board etc.
  • It's really a good idea to color your grids before putting in PVC tiles with either a foam roller or spray gun to correspond with the tiles finish (one example is, whenever putting in Silver tiles you would want to paint the grids silver).
  • The simplest way would be to utilize old drop tiles for supporting our PVC tiles
  • Now just glue our tiles one at a time onto the “false” ceiling tiles and put them onto the grids (if need be, trim back the sides of the PVC tiles to ensure a proper fit onto the grids).
  • If your current tiles are 2'x4', then you've got 2 choices:
    1. Glue a pair of PVC tiles onto the current 2' x 4' tiles
    2. Divide up the 2' x 4' openings in equal halves with 2' x 2' T-bar picks, cut the existing drop tiles to create 2' x 2' tiles, then glue your PVC tiles onto those equal halves one at a time
